Expanding Capabilities and Collaboration
Together with our clients, Iris Software is at the forefront of exploring Agentic AI, developing agents to automate complex processes and increase efficiency. Current use cases span anti-money laundering (AML) operations, aimed at streamlining and accelerating risk management and compliance; automated generation of complex logistics quotes, to optimize operations; and automating activities throughout the commercial insurance claims processing lifecycle. While some projects are still in the proof-of-concept phase, others are already delivering results in production.
Increasingly, Iris is applying Generative AI directly into the software engineering lifecycle. We have invested in training our engineering teams on tools like GitHub Copilot and are evaluating newer platforms such as Devin in client contexts. Furthermore, Iris is actively exploring how to expand the application of Gen AI beyond traditional AI coding assistants. Our proprietary solution, iDlite, is evolving, in collaboration with banking and financial services (BFS) clients. iDlite uses a system of extensions, plug-ins, and templates to standardize and accelerate Gen AI-assisted software development, improving agility, quality, and productivity throughout the lifecycle. We are also exploring how these technologies can enhance quality engineering and streamline production change management and issue resolution for digital banking teams.
Most firms face extensive technical debt, stemming from legacy systems like mainframes, older frameworks (e.g., Java/J2EE, .Net versions, Angular, Spring Boot), legacy data, ETL and API platforms, and outdated data warehouses and Big Data installations. With the rapid maturation of generative AI for software engineering, we are leveraging these advanced capabilities to help our clients address their technical debt and modernize their technology stacks more efficiently. Clients have seen substantial savings, ranging from 25-40%, from modernization efforts using Generative AI tools and approaches.
Bringing together key players from the banking world, we moderated a powerful panel debate on the future of Open Banking & API Banking. To meet our clients' evolving needs for high-performance enterprise data processing, integration, and analytics, Iris is expanding its partner ecosystem to include Databricks and Ab Initio. This strategic move will enable us to train and certify more technologists on these platforms and drive valuable innovation through targeted Proofs of Concept (PoCs). Whether the need is for complex, high-volume traditional environments or modern, cloud-based data engineering and machine learning, this dual partnership ensures we can deliver the optimal solution based on the client's specific business and technical requirements.
To enhance support for our clients and professionals in India, Iris has expanded its regional footprint with the opening of our newest development center in Chennai. This latest addition, our second this year, follows our new Pune center that launched in early 2025. These advanced new facilities build on the foundation of our existing, state-of-the-art operations in Gurugram (opened in 2024) and our long-established hub in Noida. Our expansions strengthen our resource presence across the country, augmenting our workforce of more than 3,000 employees in India.
