What inspired the founding of Iris, and what were the earliest challenges? At a time when ‘startups’ were almost unheard of, our founders left their secure jobs to start an IT company. Iris began in a garage with the motto “When IT matters, We Deliver,” and over the years, it has truly lived up to that promise.
What pivotal decisions or moments defined Iris’s trajectory? The early challenges were about proving that vision, earning trust, scaling solutions, and showing resilience. Over the years, decisions such as investing in industry-recognized standards like CMMI Level 5 and ISO 27001, entering new domains such as finance and banking, opening offices across multiple geographies, embracing cloud-native systems, and investing in GenAI have been pivotal.
How has Iris’s purpose evolved over time? With time, Iris has transitioned from being purely client-focused to also being employee-focused. Our three consecutive Great Place to Work awards are a testament to that.
What does being an Irisian mean to you?Being an Irisian means more than a role; it’s an identity rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and values.
Share a moment when Iris’s values were truly lived.I recall a project where immense delivery pressure tested us, but our commitment to transparency and teamwork helped us succeed and deepen client trust. It showed that Iris’s values are not just words but lived experiences.
What advice would you give to future Irisians?I would say: embrace change with courage, stay curious, and let values guide you. Skills will evolve, but integrity and collaboration will remain timeless.
What excites you most about Iris’s future? What excites me most is Iris’s future in the GenAI era, where we can lead responsibly, innovate ethically, and create sustainable solutions. I look forward to the next chapter.
