What inspired the founding of Iris, and what were the earliest challenges? In the early days, as Iris was building its presence in the financial services space, one of the biggest hurdles was bringing in the right talent people who could understand and speak the language of financial services’ clients. One defining decision was to bring in talent directly from the financial services industry.
Securing an MSA and gaining the confidence of senior client stakeholders required a combination of proven capability, strong references, and relationship-building. The next few challenges were to deliver flawlessly to win trust, and build stable, self-driven teams to manage relationships, delivery, and growth.
What does being an Irisian mean to you?Being an Irisian is about staying deeply client‑centric while remaining genuinely people‑friendly and leading with humility.
Share a moment when Iris’s values were truly lived.A defining moment was when Iris consciously chose to say no to certain types of work, such as L1 support, administrative tasks, and engagements in geographies where we lacked strategic depth. These opportunities could have brought short‑term gains, but they risked stretching us too thin and diluting our core strengths.
How has Iris helped shape your personal or professional growth?Iris has given me the experience of being involved in multiple functions – presales, consulting, delivery management, and subject‑matter expertise across domains ranging from financial services and technology to project management, human psychology, and soft skills. I’ve also authored a book, “Understanding Organization Culture: Your Guide to Corporate Success,” which captures many lessons, insights, and real‑world experiences that can help in career growth.
What excites you most about Iris’s future?Iris has all the ingredients needed to move to the next level – capability, talent, credibility, and a strong foundation – to accelerate towards our goals.
